Design Guidelines & Policy Assessment

Our staff has unparalleled experience developing performance/design guidance for transportation agencies.  This practical experience in taking facilities from concept to completion to operation, and eventually evaluation, gives us a proven track record for producing safe, efficient and practical designs.

The design standards developed by Sprinkle Consulting are included in a variety of local, state and national manuals.  We are involved with the development of the AASHTO Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities, and the Florida Greenbook, for which we have co-authored the Residential Street Design, Traffic Calming, Pedestrian Facilities and Bicycle Facilities chapters.  Additionally, our professionals are represented in the Bicycle Technical Committee to the National Committee of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.  We also provided input into FHWA's Roundabouts: An Informational Guide.
