Bruce is one of the nation's leading transportation engineers with a specialty in bicycle and pedestrian transportation systems planning and facility design. He leads many federal and state research studies in operator characteristics, safety facility design and travel behavior. He is an experienced planner and project manager of local, regional and state bicycle, pedestrian and urban pathway master plans. He leads a talented staff in developing numerous planning and design tools to predict travel behavior, mode shift and safety.

Bruce has extensive civil engineering design and construction experience with streets, roadways and hundreds of shopping centers, parking lots and commercial sites. This coupled with his nationwide experience in bicycle, pedestrian, and motor vehicle safety, traffic and transportation engineering studies and designs, makes him one of the most qualified experts in the United States in cases involving the interaction of travel modes. He is the principal investigator on numerous state and federal research projects.

Bruce provides expert testimony in areas related to bicyclist, pedestrian, and motor vehicle safety in highway, street, shopping centers, parking lots and related environments. He also has considerable experience in the eminent domain field.
